And now back to your regularly scheduled programming! After such a long time we are back with a new season of the addicted2salsa.com video dance podcast!
First, we’d like to go on record that we are the first salsa podcast to be shot in High-Definition (hope it shows up on Wikipedia), so you can clearly see our footwork either on your iPhone/iPod or big screen TV. Second, this is our first podcast that we dance On2 as well as On1. Last, but not least - I’d like to introduce you to our new co-host Julie Merrill.
Today we will go over a few options on how to get out of a salsa titanic move. Enjoy!
The song used in the episode is “Philadelphia Mambo” by Los Gatos (originally by Tito Puente)

The 720p version of the video is available upon request.
Yay, back to the roots! Brings back memories of when I first started learning how to dance salsa from this site. And in HD too? Niice.
Beautiful! And the video is nice too. The (HD) video quality is surpassed only by that of the instruction. Please, sir, may I have another…
Anthony, Great video. Thanks to HD I can tell that your partner is truly very attractive. lol.
Ooops. I just realized that I complimented your gf. (Facebook). The only thing better than a good gf is a good salsa gf.
Persaud,
Keep this coming. You haven’t made an instructional video in awhile. My ipod looks forward to your videos bro. Will definitely practice this move.
Anthony,
Awesome video. The new combo will absolutely make a great addition to anyones existing arsenal and the video quality?….is definitely unmatched anywhere online!! Great job!!
Julie,
Welcome to addicted2sala! Hopefully you’ll encourage Anthony to make more video podcasts!..lol..
ps…Melanie nos hará muchísima falta! Son pocas las que se pueden mover como ella mientras manteniendo su equilibrio y elegancia.
Gracias por la bienvenida y espero que disfrutes los videos aunque solo sea una latina honoraria
Julie
LOL…..Anthony has taught you well!…lol…. Si tienes un novio Latino y puedes bailar salsa, en mi libro, ERES Latina! El hecho que usted tambien tenga un buen sentido del humor simplemente le añade al placer de haberla conocido!
Great catch Anthony!

WOOOOOOOOOW. I’m loving the new look. Great looking site, new podcasts, and a pretty instructor. Don’t get me wrong, the mid-west chicas were cute. But California girls truly make me miss home. Now I need to get one of those…HD camcorder
Could you please elaborate about how you specifically define your HD videos?
I downloaded the 70 MB file with .m4v extension by clicking on download button. Is this the 720p file you refer to above? Or is HD video much larger?
Thanks!
The 720p version is much bigger (about 100MB+) and is available on request.
Hi!
Thanks for your work. It’s good and useful thing. Just got 2 cents from me…
Please don’t tied the videos/music/materials with iTunes as you’re forcing the user to use it. Just normal links to download the stuff is much more usefull and user friendly. I can’t use them right now as I can’t install the iTunes ;_( Also all linux users won’t be able to use it. IIRC there’s no iTunes for Linux.
There’s plenty of other reasons why not to tie media in iTunes… starting from that it’s usually blocked by companies firewalls and so on. I believe there’s plenty of alternatives for iTunes nowadays. Just normal links works great and everywhere.
The next… well… if you’re learning on the fly… can I suggest you the other setting to compress MP3. Compressing MP3 there should be 2 very fundamental options. a) CBR (constant bit rate) and b) VBR (variable bit rate). VBR is much much better than CBR as very complex algorithm analyze the audio and tweaks the compression so that the music sounds the best at the smallest file.
