I thought this was a joke at first.. but it seems that it is official, Steve Wozniak (one of the “fathers” of the personal computer revolution who co-founded Apple Inc with Steve Jobs), will be on the upcoming season of “Dancing With The Stars“. For those who are not as tech-savvy as the rest of us, this might not mean much to you. However, to an engineer (and salsa geek), I hope he doesn’t make us actually-coordinated-dance-loving engineers look bad and confirm any general stereotypes.
Either way, I’ll be rooting for him! I think I’m just getting a ‘kernel panic’. (pun intended)

Doesn’t say much. I guess Dancing With The Stars is similar to So You Think You Can Dance. Anyway, be interesting how a big guy like that in his 50s if not late 40s can hold up.

No way! So You Think You Can Dance is actually a great dance show – they actually get real professional dancers to perform! (or maybe SYTYCD is different in other countries..)

I have never seen Dancing With The Stars, so I really have no idea.
But the Canadian version of SYTYCD is the same as the US one and we even have some of the same hosts.
My dad told me that if I had gotten into dance 20 years earlier I could have gone on that show. I would love to do that. Maybe I could, just not nationally.

Can we do something to try to get Frankie Martinez chosen as one of the choregraphers for one this dance shows!

@Wil:
it’d be cool but…
i’m not sure that regular us audience will understand why it is much more appealing to see a smooth,flirty and subtle piece of footwork rather than an acrobatic over pretentious piece of “god knows what”.
or at least i have the sense that tv producers believe that feverishly… make it big and they will come…
btw isn’t that the show where all latinoan dancing is done to the sounds of non latino music? i mean of course.. we can make the nutcracker into cha cha cha but wouldn’t it desecrate the soul of it?
or am i thinking of some other show, similar to the mentioned one but made in ye old world??? oh yeah strictly come dancing it is… i watched it on youtube… dancing was ok… but as far as music…just didn’t quite make it

I don’t usually watch this show but I was walking in the door and my wife had it on. Low and behold Steve Wozniak was up for his turn.
I think he represented himself well. He had a couple of knee spins that impressed me. I think he had to be wearing knee pads.
Boy the judges are pretty harsh on the low experiance level contestants aren’t they.
