As we get closer to the new season of addicted2salsa starting in september we’d like to make a quick announcement. To your surprise, addicted2salsa is currently run by Julie and I (Anthony) from our apartment and from our own budget and spare time. We are glad to provide all of our addicted2salsa dance video lessons free of charge for anyone to learn. However, that does not mean that they are free for us to make. We have a LOT of expenses that come out of our own pocket such as: running a website, costs of renting a studio to film, video equipment, editing software, site bandwidth, the coffee to keep myself awake while I work on the site at 1:00am … the list goes on and on. Therefore, we appreciate any monetary contributions you are willing to provide us. Every little bit helps us teach the current and future generations of salsa dancers. Your contributions go directly to our costs, and helps us grow the website to offer new engaging content and services. Think of it as if you were buying us a cup of coffee !
We are currently looking to make some new equipment purchases for our video work (including a new computer). We believe that if every fan contributed at least $1.00 we can meet our goal by August 30th, 2009 (addicted2salsa’s 4 year anniversary!). By clicking on the chip-in box to the left, you can contribute any amount securely through Paypal (credit cards accepted) ! Thanks you all for your ongoing support of this website – we could not do this without loyal fans as yourselves!
For those wondering, we will start publishing the new “season” of salsa dance episodes starting in September. Julie and I are trying to catch up to our real non-salsa day jobs.

Top 5 reasons to donate to Addicted to Salsa
#1 “RECESSION RESCHMESSION”
You *just* bought those new Gabellini’s, you can afford a buck or two.
#2 “STOP!…THIEF!”
Just because your friends don’t know what A2S is (admit it you’ve done this-and it’s wrong,) doesn’t mean you can just steal the “DISCO POINT” move without paying a small royalty.
#3 “WHERE CAN YOU FIND A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE FOR ONLY $1.00?!?”
If you added all the A2S video content onto a 4 disc DVD set what would it be worth? (OK, season one isn’t in HD but give me a break one time.) You’d probably pay more then a dollar.
#4 “HECTOR LA-WHO?”
This could just be me, but the musical education alone has been just as important as the video content. If you were in a musical rut like I was before A2S, there’s nothing like “participating” with the music. Salsa dancing lets you do that like no other genre (You just can’t body roll in a waltz-I’ve tried.)
#5 “POR QUE LA SALSA NUNCA SE ACABA.”
Rare is the day that I don’t reference the A2S library. The video production value keeps getting better every year, the back and forth banter of why ON4 vs ON8 is the best way to “feel” the dance breaks, the group discussions to answer “what song was that?” All of this costs money. We all know that it must be a labor of love for our two ninja webmasters, Lord knows they won’t get monetarily rich doing what they do, but try to do what you can to show your appreciation-be it a dollar-five dollars-or whatever (Hell if you can swing it, throw an Andrew Jackson at ‘em.)

Just threw myself and my twin brother at these masterful maestros of magnificence. EXCELLENT work with the site, and keep up the awesome videos!
Just made my donation for about 20 people:) Come on Salseros I know I have seen more than a few of you watch these videos.
You should spread the word via Twitter and Facebook.
Good luck!
