addicted2salsa.com is a website dedicated to the world of salsa dance, encompassing everything from a free instructional dance lesson podcast to salsa specific articles and dance forums. Our podcast features beginning through advanced level videos, plus audio episodes dedicated to details of the music. We keep you up to date on what is happening in the salsa world, and form an international community of all of the dancers out there who are addicted to salsa.

Anthony Persaud

Founder of addicted2salsa. Though he grew up in Puerto Rico, Anthony taught himself how to salsa dance during his college days in Iowa. He and his good friends created the club Descarga Latin Dance at Iowa State University, bringing Salsa to Iowa State with weekly lessons, social dancing, and choreographed routines. Realizing how many people around the world have limited access to salsa instruction, Anthony started Addicted2Salsa to make salsa dancing available to all who wish to learn. Anthony now works as a Computer Engineer in San Diego (many are surprised to discover that the website is not his full-time job!).

Julie Merrill

Co-host of Addicted2Salsa. She learned to dance in 2006 while living in Oaxaca, Mexico. She then spent a year teaching salsa, merengue, bachata and cha-cha in the central coast of California, and danced and performed her first choreography. She currently lives in San Diego, studying Speech Language Pathology, and dancing with Majesty in Motion.
