YouTube finally made public the new features we had been testing a few weeks ago: Annotations. I believe this feature adds a tremendous amount of value to dancers viewing salsa videos.
Now, after we upload a video, we can provide additional points of information such as song name being heard, extra salsa dance tips, and my personal comments. I have tried it out on a few videos, such as the Complex Salsa Dance Move.
If you can, watch the video again on the YouTube page and let me know what you think of the annotations feature – and any ideas on how we could use this feature to improve our videos.
Since we added our first salsa dance videos on YouTube, there have been various questions and mistakes (specifically the earlier ones) and I plan to correct those while providing some additional valuable tips. So who knows – you might find something new in those old videos! Enjoy!
I have received a lot of email about our free salsa dance video lessons – I’ve heard it has become popular (who would have thought?). Well, to make it easy for many people in the world to be able to view the podcast and most of the latest videos, I have updated the salsa dance videos website with a video player and multiple links to the different formats of the video feeds. You can watch our Youtube Channel, subscribe to our iTunes Salsa feed, or just read most of the video articles straight from our website!
Check it out!
We will be making the website more ‘salsa media centric’ as time goes by – so stay tuned!
I have just been informed that there is a guy named Michael Yip has been stealing some of my articles and making it seem like her wrote them. Now, I don’t know why he would do such a thing, maybe he REALLY liked the article. But as you can see, he even changed the date on it to make it seem he wrote it almost 1 year before I did – which is impossible of course. I really don’t know why this Michael Yip idiot wants to do with taking these articles and making them his own, but its not very community oriented (especially without giving credit to the author). Here is my article:

Here is his post:

Here is a pic of the article on his page in case he takes it down. Someone asked him to take it down, but he hasn’t responded yet. Why do people do this, don’t they know they can get caught?

UPDATE: I guess he has infringed on numerous other articles (see comments below). I sent an email to legal@blogsome.com about his infringement as well. Hopefully he sends an apology soon (and takes the rest of the articles down).
UPDATE: I guess he doesn’t even use his own pictures on the article.
Well, you know it was going to arrive at some point. A lot of people are in myspace. Now a lot of people are on facebook. Well, to make it fair for everyone on facebook to show some Addicted2Salsa group love – I created a world group for the website on Facebook. If you have an account you can sign up to the group and upload your photos and say hi. Have fun with it. But regardless of whether you use MySpace or Facebook, we are all addicted2salsa.
