Its a cuban thing, but because of American arrogance and the embargo they have no balls to call it "Musica Cubana". So they had to categorize (or give it a label like "terrorist")so the name it salsa; as you know americans are always categorizing things else they cant undetrstand it. Mambo is the attack of the trumpets on the music, some songwriters liked it made it whole music (thus mambo). Mambo is dead, its timba time. Those who dance Mambo is like dancing square dancing. The american salsa is like dancing with no musical understanding except spinning and flips; no cultural connotations but show off or like fitness dancing. Stop sucking culture of others up and spitting McDonalds. Oh ya, by the way Salsa is black / afro cuban music; dont take the black things out just because u dont like them.

Cool. I see the publish button now. Thanks.

The cubans say, "We invented it". The Newyoricans say, "We made it big". The Puerto Ricans say, "We improved it". The colombians say, "We brought it back". The Mexicans say "We liked it first, we kicked it out, and we are taking it back".

No beef, just humor.
