This guy has more game than some people I know. LOL. I have American friends that have improved their Spanish language skills immensely just by being in the Salsa scene and practicing. It’s amazing because they are fluent now!
Of course, when it comes to Salsa, there is no need to speak the same language. At the New York Salsa Congress, I have danced with Japanese girls that did not speak one word of English. Those girls held up two fingers up when I asked them to dance, signaling that they wanted to dance On2. Enough said! I nodded. We had a great time dancing!!!
No need to speak the same a language. But it helps if one can speak different Salsa languages, in other words, dance On1, On2, On3, etc.
